International Students

Nebraska Evangelical Lutheran High School is a Christian high school supported by churches of the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod (WELS) and has been in existence since 1979.

Since opening our international program in 2007, Nebraska Lutheran has had students from six different countries. Our high school exists to offer students an American secondary education in a Christian setting. Nebraska Lutheran has small teacher-student ratio that allows for more individualized attention for students needing assistance in their learning. The school has a strong history of academic achievement. Specialized classes are offered for new international students to help improve language skills.   NELHS provides a dormitory facility on-campus where the students can live during the school year and prepare themselves for dorm life at a university.
